Welcome to Superstition Coffee and our web page. My name is Bill Mohrweis and along with my wife Terri, we are the founders and owners of Superstition Coffee. Over the last 30 years I have been fortunate to be involved in the specialty coffee industry as both a coffee buyer and roaster. Early in my career I developed a love, passion and respect for the beverage that still holds true today.
While the specialty coffee industry has grown in popularity over the last couple of decades, I am still amazed at how few people have experienced a truly great cup of coffee. Most consumers have only had the opportunity to drink coffee of questionable quality, which was poorly roasted and more than likely it was stale.
My goal with Superstition Coffee is to introduce to a limited group
of coffee drinkers a truly outstanding cup,
which is unique and exclusive, along with being affordable.
Coffee, like wine, has many variables that can affect the taste of the end product. Over the years I have had numerous opportunities to visit prime growing regions throughout the world. I have selected green coffee beans that are the best of the best from those regions to use in the Superstition Coffee Blends:
- Costa Rican El Conquistador Tarrazu that is very well-balanced, with a heavy body, complex, and with dark chocolate notes.
- La Flor del Café from Guatemala which is in the famous Antiqua region. This coffee also has a full body, lively acidity, and notes of caramel.
- Sumatra Aceh Gold Coffee is a triple-pick sun dried coffee from the Lintong region. This coffee is known for its great body, slight butterscotch taste, and lingering finish.
